A Complete Maintenance History
For Every Asset in Your Fleet
Log services, repairs, breakdowns and inspections in under 2 minutes. Every event is stored against the asset — with photos, clock readings, compliance updates and who did the work.
Paper & Spreadsheets Don't Tell the Full Story
When something goes wrong, the first question is always the same: "What's been done to it and when?" If the answer involves digging through a folder or ringing someone, you've already got a problem.
No proof when you need it
Insurers, HSE inspectors and DVSA officers want documented records with dates and evidence. A spreadsheet with no photos, no clock readings and no audit trail doesn't cut it.
Service intervals get missed
Without a clear record of last service hours, machines quietly run past their intervals — leading to avoidable breakdowns and failed inspections.
Your team doesn't know what's been done
If the only record lives in someone's notebook, a new driver or manager starts from zero. That's a safety risk and a liability.

Pick the asset
Choose the vehicle or machine from your fleet list. Come in from the Fleet Hub and it's already pre-selected. FleetBolt shows you the current clock reading so you know where you're starting from.
Fill in what happened
Pick the event type — service, repair, inspection, breakdown, damage, modification or other. Add the date, clock reading, who carried out the work, notes, and up to 3 photos as evidence.
Update compliance in the same step
Tick which compliance dates this event covers — MOT, LOLER, tax, insurance or safety inspection. FleetBolt updates those dates on the asset straight away. No double entry.

Every Record Tells the Whole Story
Open any event and you get everything in one view — who did the work, who logged it, the clock reading at the time, what compliance dates changed, notes and photos. Nothing buried in a separate tab.
Service events reset the clock automatically
Mark an event as a service and the asset's last service hours update immediately. The service-due warning resets with no extra steps.
Compliance dates update in the same form
Done a LOLER inspection while you were at it? Tick the box when logging the event and the asset's key dates update on the spot. No separate data entry.
Photos stay attached to the record permanently
Attach up to 3 photos to any event. Useful for documenting damage, proving a repair is done, or showing the condition of a machine at a point in time.

Common Questions
What types of event can I log?
Service, repair, inspection, breakdown, damage, modification and other. Each is colour-coded in the history view so you can spot patterns immediately — useful for seeing if one machine is generating a lot of repairs.
Does it work for plant machinery tracked in hours as well as vehicles in km or miles?
Yes. Each asset in FleetBolt has its own clock reading unit — hours, km or miles. Service intervals, clock readings and history all use the right unit for that asset.
Can I log work done by an external contractor?
Yes — the 'Work Carried Out By' field is free text. Enter your in-house mechanic, a local garage, a dealership or a specialist. It's stored against the event record.
Can multiple team members log events?
Yes. Every event records who logged it and who did the work — these can be different people. Drivers and operators on seat accounts can add events; the account owner sees everything across the fleet.
How do I export records for an insurance claim or DVSA visit?
Filter the event history by asset, type or date range and hit Export CSV. For a specific machine, you can also pull a PDF report directly from the Fleet Hub.
What's the difference between this and a shared spreadsheet?
A spreadsheet doesn't update compliance dates automatically, doesn't attach photos, doesn't track who entered what, and doesn't alert you when a service is due. FleetBolt does all four — and it works on mobile from the yard.
